The Games at the End of the Train

The BC Highland Games & Scottish Festival is held at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam, a state-of-the-art sports facility located just steps away from the Lafarge Lake-Douglas Station on the new Translink Evergreen Line.  Take the day to explore Coquitlam and the Highland Games, and experience the new Evergreen Line. Transit Directions

Parking

PARK RESPONSIBLY! The City of Coquitlam WILL BE enforcing all parking bylaws.  If you park where you should not (eg. on the grass), you WILL BE TICKETED and may subject yourself to towing.

There are seven parking lots on the Town Centre Park grounds as well as parking & free shuttle from Douglas College for you to choose from. Handicap parking is available at the South Gate parking lot. See the Parking Map for the location of the lots.

North Gate Parking
The parking lot by the North Gate is closed to general parking, the available spaces are for PASSHOLDERS only. There will be NO handicap parking, and NO drop-offs allowed in the north gate parking lot.

Free Shuttles
A FREE shuttle bus will run from the entrance of the Douglas College Parkade to the Games between 11:30am – 7:00pm.

NOTE: The shuttle bus will not take children under 5 years old so people with young kids should drop off the family at the stadium and then drive back to the parkade and take the shuttle bus.


Off-Site Parking

Parking at Douglas College David Lam Campus

UNDERGROUND PARKADE
LOCATION: 1250 Pinetree Way
COST: $8.00 for the entire day
HOURS: Saturday 11am – 7pm
Directions:

  • From Lougheed Hwy at Coquitlam Center Travel NORTH 1.5 km on Pinetree,
  • Watch for the sign “Community Center/Douglas College”,
  • Turn WEST into the campus and look for the Underground Parkade on your left,.
  • Ride the free shuttle bus from the entrance of the Parkade to the Games from 11:30 – 7:00.

SURFACE PARKING
LOCATION: 1250 Pinetree Way
COST: $3.50 for the entire day
HOURS: Saturday 6:30am – 7pm
Directions:

  • From Lougheed Hwy at Coquitlam Center Travel NORTH 1.4 km on Pinetree,
  • Turn WEST onto “Town Center Boulevard” and look for the Surface Parking on your right,
  • Park and go into the College Atrium (follow signs) with your stall # to pay,
  • Ride the free shuttle bus from the entrance of the Parkade to the Games from 11:30 – 7:00.

Parking at Coquitlam Station Park and Ride

LOCATION: 2920 Barnet Highway (Johnson Street at Barnet Highway)
COST: $3:00/day plus bus fare
HOURS: Available all week
Directions:

There will be NO shuttle bus from the Park and Ride you will need to take the regular bus.


Taking Transit

Getting to the games by transit is easy. Take the Evergreen Line to the end – the Lafarge Lake station. From there, it's a short 5-7 minute walk along the lake to the stadium.
