Port Coquitlam Legion Pipe Band

Port Coquitlam Legion Pipe BandThe Port Coquitlam Legion Pipe Band was formed in 1975 and is a community pipe band in the Tri-City area of the Lower Mainland of BC. The band is closely associated with Branch 133 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Coquitlam. The band is active throughout the year, playing for events, attending parades and hosting a popular Robert Burn’s Supper every year. The band is always looking for new players and welcome everyone, whether they are pipers, drummers or just interested in being part of a great band. The PoCo Legion Pipe Band practices every Wednesday evening from September until June at the PoCo Legion.

RCMP E. Division (BC) Pipe Band – 2016 Duty Band

RCMP Pipe Band on paradeBased in Greater Vancouver, the RCMP “E” Division Pipe Band was formed in April, 2006, and is the newest of the seven RCMP pipe bands currently active in Canada. Under the leadership of Pipe Major Hugh Peden, Lead Drummer Gregor Merry and Drum Major Mike Guillemin, the band is comprised of both active and retired RCMP members and civilian volunteers from throughout BC who come together to share and showcase their musical talent and to bring the community closer to its national police force. The band’s first CD, “Live in Langley” was recorded in concert with the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir in October, 2011.
